RESOURCE MINISTRY DONATIONS Our Resource Ministry involves some wonderful donations which are given to us and we in turn pass them on to the various schools and mission efforts we assist in Southeast Kentucky and Northeast Tennessee. We have developed some great friendships with people and companies who believe in our rural Appalachian ministry. We have been blessed to receive various items from time to time that we could never afford to purchase. Listed below are some of the items we receive from time to time:
If you are interested in this are of our ministry and would like additional information, please call the Mission of Hope office at 865-694-HOPE (4673). If you have potential resources for this area of ministry, we would welcome your support. |
KNOXVILLE ZOO AND LADY VOLS BEFRIEND MOH Once again we were blessed to have the support of our Friends at the Knoxville Zoo. November 14 was MOH Day, and canned food items were given as the “price for admission.” Our thanks go to the Zoo Staff and to our dear MOH Friends at Wood Properties, along with Steve and Carolyn Vought who served as our Volunteers for this all-day event. The UT Lady VOLS honored the MOH at its December 1 basketball game. Fans attending the game brought new toys for the MOH and were admitted free. We are grateful to the UT Lady VOLS’ Staff and Marketing Team for their support of the Mission of Hope. STORIES OF HOPE HOPE was fulfilled when dear MOH friends Bill and Bobbye Hunter donated a good used Saturn car to MOH. We are now in the process of giving this car to a family our Ministry serves that is in dire need of a reliable vehicle. HOPE was fulfilled recently when dear MOH friends Walter and Jan Kowalski donated a good used motor home to MOH, which we in turn will be giving to Big Creek Missions Center. This will allow them to provide temporary housing for people who are in dire need of housing in the area they serve. HOPE was fulfilled and continues to be filled in so many special and heartwarming ways on a daily and weekly basis for our humble ministry. It never ceases to surprise or amaze us how God will provide the Harvest by touching the hearts of His people in so many unique ways. We are extremely grateful for those who bless us so we can bless others. HOPE is the confident expectation of good. Thank you, God, for the privilege and freedom to share about You and the Hope You provide for our daily walk through life’s journey. Thanks for your friendship and support and for helping us keep extending the Hope. A SPECIAL THANK YOU Thank You from the Hearts at The Hope to the hundreds of dedicated individuals, groups and businesses who contribute new and used goods, services and transportation all year long to support our Resource Ministry and meet the needs of those we aid throughout Appalachia!!! Extra Special Thanks to our Volunteers!!!! God bless each of you who serve day in and day out to answer the phones; help in the office; pick up, deliver, drive, load and unload the trucks; work in the warehouse and all the other areas - YOU are the heart, soul, hands and feet of Mission of Hope. Without YOU Mission of Hope could not do what it does to help our neighbors in Appalachia. |
