The Back to School ministry for Mission of Hope plays a very important role in the lives of children of poverty stricken communities in rural school districts by providing backpacks filled with much needed new school supplies at the beginning of the new school year. We have heard over and over from the principals and teachers in these schools what a positive difference these school supplies and the compassionate giving of others makes in raising the self-esteem and educational performance of their students. A donation of $10 will provide a new backpack and supplies to a very deserving student. If you would like to sponsor one or more children, make your tax-deductible check to Mission of Hope and send it to: P.O. Box 51824
You can also make a donation using a credit card by calling the Mission of Hope at 865-694-4673 or Toll Free: 1-877-627-1909. Thanks for your support and for helping to extend the Hope! |

FOURTH ANNUAL
MISSION OF HOPE AND The 4th Annual Mission of Hope and Chick-fil-A Golf Classic held on Friday, August 17, 2007, at Willow Creek Golf Club was absolutely AWESOME! We were honored to once again have Chick-fil-A as the Primary Sponsor for this event with Area Marketing Director, Travis Spiva, serving as their liaison. Ralph Perrigo is serving again as Tournament Chairman. In addition to Travis and Ralph, is the Golf Classic Steering Committee. Members are: Dwaan Black, Dennis Koontz, Brenda Lawson, Don Tarvin, Ron Tilley, Shirley Plant, and Emmette Thompson. After expenses, we raised a little over $33,000. Proceeds from this Golf Classic have been designated to help fund our Back-To-School Program. We had our largest Golfer turnout yet with right at 230 Players. We also had the largest Sponsor Level response that we have ever had. Congratulations to all the players and award winners. The AM ROUND Award Winners
