Greetings Dear Friends from The HOPE.

It’s an incredible time when we meet to select a new class of Mission of Hope Scholarship winners. We know that the decisions we are making will impact and change lives. And for the Mission of Hope it’s another exercise in faith that the financial donations will come in.

We are excited and honored to announce that we have just selected another 13 new high school senior scholarship winners; one each from the 13 rural high schools we are currently serving at the MOH. And these 13 high schools are where the students we serve at 27 rural elementary schools will eventually attend. We are also assisting 7 other very deserving students with partial scholarships. And we will award another new Alice Lloyd College student and new Lincoln Memorial University student scholarships too.

What an amazing time it must be at the high schools when our Scholarship Award letters arrive and the students are notified by their principals. It’s an affirmation moment that their hard work has paid off.

We feel privileged to have such a Scholarship Program and we know for some we serve, we are perhaps helping break a long cycle of poverty within their family. We would welcome your financial donations to help us underwrite all of the scholarships we will be providing. When schools start back this coming fall semester we will have over 50 students on Mission of Hope Scholarships. That my dearest friends is an amazing blessing for our humble ministry.

Thanks for your friendship and for all you do to help us extend The HOPE in so many ways.

Sincerest Regards;
Emmette Thompson, Executive Director – Mission of Hope
