Yesterday was a very special day for the Mission of Hope.  Members of our Staff and MOH Volunteers had a special journey to Pippa Passes, KY to visit Alice Lloyd College for our annual field trip.  It truly is one of the most special academic institutions we have ever been to.

During our trip, we meet with Alice Lloyd College’s Staff, Students and Friends to learn about the history of the College and their exciting plans for the future. We were given a great tour of the campus, treated to Lunch, and then had the privilege to attend their Award Ceremony and present a donation check to the ALC President to serve another new deserving Scholarship Student for next year. In addition, the College surprised Mission of Hope Executive Director, Emmette Thompson with a “Servant Leadership” Award.  It was a special moment and it meant so much to us all to see Emmette recognized in such a special way.

It was a long day…but our MOH Staff and Volunteers were truly blessed for this experience…and we can’t wait to go back again. We would like to encourage you to learn more about this special College by visiting their website at: alc.edu.
