Help Us Welcome our New Scholars into the Mission of Hope Family by Becoming a Mentor!

The Mission of Hope Scholarship Program provides an amazing opportunity for students from Appalachia to attend college along with providing mentors to help them navigate the challenging transition.

Many of the students in this program are the first in their families to attend college, so having a mentor can be vital to their success. That’s why MOH is looking for more mentors for our 2023 scholars.

What does it take to be a mentor? You simply need to contact your scholar once a month, provide support and encouragement, remind them of deadlines, and be a good listener. You’ll also need to attend the Scholars Dinner on July 27 and keep MOH updated on your scholars needs.

We currently need 6 ladies or couples that can be mentors to some of our female scholars. If you’re interested in making a difference in the lives of these students and becoming a mentor, please call the MOH office at (865) 584-7571 or email [email protected]. Thank you for helping us change lives… one student at a time!
